New Release - The Maid of Dishonor

At long last another new release. I'd seriously hoped to have this story out way before now, but at least it's done and out into the world. I really had a lot of fun writing this story and can only hope you have a lot of fun reading it. Enjoy! My sister has always taken advantage of me. I know this. She asks for my help for another one of her schemes, and I agree. As always, her plan backfires. Why do I do this to myself? Chloe My sister is getting married and asked me to be the maid of honor. It’s an arranged marriage she wants no part of. She’s already concocted a plan to get out of it. It involves me going out with her super-hot fiancé to make it look like we’re having an affair to create a scandal. Her fiancé turns out to be an emotionless stick in the mud. No wonder she doesn’t want to marry him. The problem is that her plan isn’t working. What’s worse is this man is growing on me. Which isn't part of the plan. What has she gotten me into this time? Rowan I was okay w...

Cover Reveal, Subscribe by Email Revisited and Other Updates

I have another new release coming soon. The Maid of Dishonor, the second book in my Wedding Troubles Series. This one has the tropes of an arranged marriage and the wrong sister. It was a lot of fun to write. I don’t have a release date, but it should be soon. But for now here is my shiny new cover for that story: Subscribe by Email If you recall, my subscribe by email was going away. I outlined the reasons in a post here . The main reason was that my own email address got booted for some unknown reason. There were other reasons, but honestly, this was the big one. Right after I published that post, I saw that my email had been re-added to the list. I’m guessing it was some sort of glitch on the end of the provider. I suppose this could happen with any service. And like I said in my previous post about this, nothing is perfect. I have searched and searched for a comparable service, but as of now, nothing is in my price range. I’ve thought about doing a regular newsletter, but honestly ...

Happy New Year - Looking Ahead to 2026

A big happy New Year to everyone! I’m really looking forward to 2026. While I don’t have any big New Year’s resolutions, I have been scheming some plans for the coming year. Besides, New Year resolutions last only about two weeks anyway. While I didn’t publish nearly the amount of stories I wanted to in 2025, I felt I learned a ton of stuff when it comes to writing. I released only two stories in 2025. I know, pathetic, but it was better than no stories, so there’s that. I am nearing the final stages of the next story in my Wedding Troubles Series. I’d hoped to have it out by now, but when Christmas hit this year, I just sort of shut down and enjoyed things. Maybe I needed that because life has been quite stressful since Thanksgiving. My main computer going kaput and both a major and a minor household appliances gave up the ship along with the computer. I think I just needed to take a big step back and regroup. Now, with the holidays coming to a close, I’m excited for the coming...

For Those Who Celebarate Christmas. . .

I had really hoped to get another Holiday Wishes story out this year for Christmas. I do love Christmas romance stories, both reading and writing them. Alas, it was not meant to be this year. Back in early November I was working hard on the next story in my Wedding Troubles Series. I'm happy to report the next story is drafted with a couple of edits done. It still needs some work, but looking at the calendar, I decided to set it aside and do a Christmas romance. I had a story mostly drafted when disaster struck. My main computer died. Usually I'm really good about backing things up. Except, you know, sometimes I get lazy. Needless to say, I've not been able to access the hard drive yet to see if I can retrieve that story. Being ambitious, I started a whole new story, but as time when on, it became apparent there was no way I could do a story that fast. I had other things going wrong in my life at this time and it became overwhelming trying to deal with everything all at o...

Subscribe by Email is Going Away. . . For Now

When I first set up this site, FeedBurner had a nice subscribe by email option built into the site. I really appreciated it. FeedBurner was by no means perfect, but then again, nothing is. Google eventually shut down the subscribe by email part of FeedBurner. Like many other bloggers, I searched for a replacement. Like many others, I opted to go with follow.it for this service. Again, this was not a perfect option, but let’s go back to nothing is perfect. With follow.it, they placed ads in the emails, which were not too obtrusive. I figured I could live with this for now. If I gained more subscribers, I’d either go for a paid version of follow.it to remove the ads or something else. I always subscribe to my own blog so that way I can monitor things and make sure they work. I also subscribe to a few other bloggers who use the same service. A few months ago, I noticed that instead of putting my post content in the email, follow.it instead sent a link to click on to read the post. I...

A Notebook of Productivity - An Attempt to Get It Together

I’m always struggling to get my shit together and be more productive in life. Most especially my writing. If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, then you already know this. I’ve talked about this in several posts on this blog. Back in May , I wrote a post about all the things I was working on. As always, I got lazy and didn’t really work on any of it. It was also back in May when I came up with the idea for my latest story, The Worst Man. That story sort of took my attention over everything else I was planning on doing, like learning how to build eBooks without an online converter, and other things I talked about in that post. As a result, when it came time to publish that story, I yet again used the Reedsy editor to convert my story to ePub. Which is fine. I love the Reedsy converter, and I was even thinking that maybe I’d just stick with it. Except when I went to do the final conversion, there was a hiccup on Reedsy’s side of things, and I didn’t get my ePub to co...

New Release - The Worst Man

At long last another new release! I know, took me long enough. Hopefully it's not this long between releases for the next story. This is a stand alone story that is first in a series of wedding themed stories.  I hate being in weddings, but my best friend was in a pinch. What choice did I have? Only after I agree to be in it, do I find out who the best man is. . . and he is anything but the best man. Anna My best friend is getting married, and all of her other friends are jealous because she scored the man of the century. She knows how much I hate being in weddings, but she needs someone. I can’t leave my friend hanging. The only problem is the best man. He would be the man of the century too, except he doesn’t do relationships. He doesn’t keep it a secret. What is worse is that he has me in his sights. I don’t want one night; I want forever. Is that really too much to ask? In my mind, Liam isn’t the best man. He’s the worst man. Liam I’ve had Anna in my sights since...
